Learn how to build a successful team and set it in motion from two masters of the trade. After an introduction that sets up the ideas of cross-functional team building and design thinking, we’ll ask for volunteers to form teams of 7-10 members from disparate professions. Harvard Business School’s AMY EDMONSON will lead them in a short team-building exercise, after which JENNIFER SUKIS of IBM Watson will break the crowd into teams to work on a design-thinking exercise. They’ll have an allotted amount of time to sketch their ideas, utilizing Post-it® Notes and a dry-erase board. Once the exercise is complete, Amy will do a short recap of her observations on the team in action, with audience participation: What did they do well? What could they have done better? Time permitting, we’ll wrap with a short audience Q&A.
