Session
Owning Authentic Experiences in a Competitive Landscape
Hosted by Sofar Sounds

Today, more and more brands are competing with one another to emotionally connect to their consumers through experiences—be it online retailers like Everlane and Glossier opening brick and mortars, or Airbnb opening up its platform to experiences like cooking classes and city walks. For nearly 10 years, Sofar Sounds has been leading the experiential sector by hosting secret, intimate concerts for its guests. From humble beginnings in its founder’s Shoreditch living room, Sofar has since grown to hold more than 15,000 shows to date in over 400 cities. Sofar Sounds' Head of City Operations, Amanda Presson, and Head of Communications, Sarah Lipman, will offer lessons on building genuine connection and community, versus forcing it by following the right buzzwords, trends, and “Instagrammable moments”. The evening will culminate in a secret performance from two of Sofar NYC’s favorite alumni.

This session is limited to attendees that are twenty-one years of age or older.
