All kids want to tell their own stories, use their imagination, and create something from scratch. It’s no different for kids who happen to be Syrian refugees. This year, CARE—a global aid organization—has run two digital storytelling camps in the Azraq refugee camp in Jordan, where kids and teenagers learn to write, direct, and produce their own short films with guidance from some of the world’s best filmmakers. In this exclusive screening and Q&A, you’ll see films made in Azraq, hear from the filmmakers, kids, and former Jordanian banker Jameel Dababneh who now runs CARE's work at Azraq camp. CARE’s innovator in residence Elana Berkowitz will lead the conversation.
