It only takes a quick look at Snøhetta’s project list to understand what the company means when it says it employs a “trans-disciplinary way of thinking.” From the remake of Times Square into a pedestrian-friendly oasis, to the design of Norway’s full-color banknotes, to the creation of the pavilion at the National September 11 Memorial Museum, the internationally renowned firm moves seamlessly between architecture, landscape, and brand design. Join founding partner Craig Dykers for a talk about how Snøhetta’s collaborative process leads to the creation of more equitable public spaces. Participants will then work together to create a design concept for public street furniture that will inspire a sense of collective ownership in the community.
