Dr. Rasu Shrestha is the chief innovation officer of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and executive vice president of UPMC Enterprises, the $16 billion healthcare provider and insurer’s investment arm. He’s responsible for driving the innovation strategy, transforming the system into a more patient-focused and economically thriving organization. At UPMC Enterprises, Dr. Shrestha identifies opportunities to change healthcare delivery through innovative technologies, data-driven intelligence, and entrepreneurial initiatives. Previously, he served as UPMC’s vice president of information technology and medical director of interoperability and imaging informatics.
