Akash Nigam is the CEO of Genies, Inc., an avatar technology company based in Venice, Calif. The company has a consumer app, SDK offering and influencer agency that focuses on avatar brand activations for celebrities and athletes. Akash created the company as a college dropout. The company to date has raised $25 million in capital from an eclectic group of venture capital firms and angel investors. The 27 year old grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and attended University of Michigan.
